Life is filled with ups and downs, and sometimes, we need a little extra help to start the day on a positive note. Tapping, combined with the power of mantras are an effective way to start your day they way you want it to be.
Evening Tapping Routine
Before you go to sleep get into the habit of gentle tapping to promote good night’s sleep.
You can either focus on letting go of things that didn’t go well or tap in the gratitude of things that did – or both.
Tap each of the points, or just use your favourite ones and tap slower than you normally would. You can also use just one word that evokes how you want to feel.
Don’t just say the words really feel them.
I’m grateful for another day
I’m choosing a great night’s sleep
I did my best today
I was amazing today
It was a fabulous day
I forgive anyone who pushed my buttons
Tomorrow will be a wonderful day
I’m so grateful for…
I choose Peace
I choose love
I choose to relax
I deserve to rest well
Everything can wait until tomorrow
I’m safe
Sleepy
Calm
Relaxed
Happy
Grateful
Loved
If you’ve had a bad or difficult day tap your feelings out…
Starting on the side of the hand and repeat a few times – (use your own words and feelings)
‘Even though today has been ****’
‘Even though *** ***** me off’
‘Even though everything went wrong’
‘Even though I made loads of mistakes’
‘Even though I upset someone’
‘Even though I feel down’
‘I deeply and completely love and accept myself’ or ‘I love myself anyway’ or ‘I’m ok”
Then tap around each point choosing the most powerful words from your statement with intention of accepting it, or letting it go.
Don’t stop too soon and follow the threads of your feelings and change the words as the energy calms down.
Once your feeling calmer, tap a few rounds of gratitude.
If you wake up in the night and can’t get back to sleep – tap slowing repeating ‘sleepy’ ‘calm’ ‘relaxed’ etc,
Get into the habit of writing down all the things you need to do or remember tomorrow.
Don’t give your brain a reason to keep your awake!
