EFT Tapping Script for Overwhelm

Here’s a gentle and empowering EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping script to help you release stress, restore clarity, and reconnect with inner strength.

This is a guide but use your words and feelings

Set up, tapping on the Karate Chop Point 

Even though I feel completely overwhelmed with everything on my plate,
I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though I’m trying to do it all and it feels like too much,
I honour how I feel.

Even though I feel the pressure to keep it all together,
I give myself permission to slow down and breathe.

Eyebrow
So much to do… and not enough time

Side of Eye
I feel like I’m carrying the weight of the world

Under Eye
It’s exhausting trying to keep up with everything

Under Nose
And still, I keep pushing myself

Chin
What if I could pause… just for a moment?

Collarbone
What if I didn’t have to carry it all alone?

Under Arm
I feel stressed, stretched thin, and tired

Top of Head
And I’m ready to release some of this pressure

SECOND ROUND – Releasing Overwhelm

Eyebrow
Releasing this pressure… even just a little

Side of Eye
Letting go of the belief that I have to do it all

Under Eye
Releasing the guilt that comes with saying no

Under Nose
I am human, and I’m allowed to rest

Chin
It’s safe for me to let go of perfection

Collarbone
I give myself permission to slow down

Under Arm
I’m allowed to take care of me, too

Top of Head
Letting go of this tension… and breathing in peace

THIRD ROUND – Reclaiming Calm and Strength

Eyebrow
I am capable and strong, even when I pause

Side of Eye:
Clarity comes when I create space.

Under Eye
I don’t have to prove myself through exhaustion or people pleasing

Under Nose:
I choose to honour my limits

Chin:
I am enough, just as I am

Collarbone
I trust myself to prioritise what truly matters

Under Arm
I’m choosing calm, clarity, and ease

Top of Head
I’m ok and I don’t have to do it all at once

Take a deep breath
Let it out slowly

You can repeat this as needed, especially in moments of stress, tight deadlines, or decision fatigue.

Remember to focus on where in your body you feel the overwhelm…

Set up statement…

Even though I feel overwhelmed and I feel it in my body,
I deeply and completely love and accept myself and I choose to feel calm and in control

Even though I feel this pressure – maybe in my chest, my shoulders, or my stomach –
I honour how I feel and how my body is holding this

Even though my body feels tight and tense from all this stress,
I’m open to releasing it and returning to balance

Eyebrow
All this overwhelm… it’s sitting right here in my body

Side of Eye
I feel it in my (note where you feel it – chest, neck, back, jaw…)

Under Eye
So much pressure, so much to hold

Under Nose
I notice all this tension building up in my body

Chin
It feels heavy, tight, draining

Collarbone
My body’s been carrying this for too long

Under Arm
I choose to feel safe now and allow myself peace

Top of Head
Letting go… from every part of me – letting it melt away in mind, body and spirit

SECOND ROUND – Releasing the Overwhelm from the Body

Eyebrow
Releasing this tension from my body…

Side of Eye
Softening my shoulders… loosening my jaw

Under Eye
Letting go of this tightness in my chest, (or where you feel it)

Under Nose
Releasing the weight from my back, my shoulders, my life

Chin
Breathing into the discomfort… and letting it pass

Collarbone
My body doesn’t have to carry this anymore

Under Arm
Releasing the overwhelm from every cell of my body

Top of Head
Feeling lighter… freer… more grounded

THIRD ROUND – Welcoming Calm and Strength

Eyebrow
I allow myself to feel grounded in my body

Side of Eye
I’m allowed to feel calm and in control

Under Eye
My breath flows freely, my body softens, I am safe.

Under Nose
There’s nothing to prove

Chin
I honour my body and what it needs

Collarbone
I release the old pressure and welcome peace

Under Arm
Feeling calm is a choice and I choose it now

Top of Head
I feel clear, capable, and connected to myself

Close with a deep breath
Inhale deeply through the nose…
Hold…
And exhale slowly through the mouth.

Tune in to your body and notice what you notice and take a sip of water.

Tapping is a wonderful tool to use any time and any where – you can also use the finger points when you are in company and nobody will notice.
